If April Vanderwal has a superpower, it’s versatility. Classically trained, she’s shared her pure soprano notes with Oregon Repertory Singers for more than half of her life. Both collaboratively and as a soloist, April has sung pop, folk, blues, R&B, Latin, and jazz. On occasion, she’s written songs, both parodies and originals, as well as melding her melody and lyrics to others’ instrumental pieces. This year, April made her debut as a producer. Deep in her heart is a desire to create community and use music to share collective emotional experiences.
